This spicy Savoury French toast is nothing like the super sweet French toast of my childhood.
Ever since I made this crispy french toast I’ve been on a savoury French toast kick. There’s just something that makes so much sense about bread and eggs being savoury. I always have a hard time deciding between sweet and savoury breakfasts, but these days I’m definitely leaning towards savoury
If you’re looking for something with a bit more flavor, this might be the breakfast for you. It has crisp edges and slightly spicy eggy insides. It’s fast, fresh and delicious!
Savory French Toast
Quick keto/low carb french toast ..
- 1 raw egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp clarified butter
Heat pan on medium heat and add butter.
Prepare coconut/almond bread . Check out recipe here
- Wisk egg for a minute, now add all dry ingredients and wisk again.
Slice the bread. Keep it slightly thick to ensure it soaks the batter well
Dip bread into egg mixture properly .
Now put bread on pan and cook it on both sides until light brown.
